Luksusowa Vodka


Made from potatoes, Luksusowa Vodka deems itself “The Manliest Vodka”.

They wanted to extend its brand and engage with an audience in the Philadelphia market to help drive awareness in the region, and turned to Bolide Communications to help.

The challenge: how to link a nationally distributed brand to a local market like Philadelphia to make it hip, relevant and on-brand?

Our Approach

Walt Whitman was perhaps the most celebrated bearded man in the Philadelphia area, but we set out to prove that few Philadelphians knew anything about the man whose name is honored by one of the area’s most traveled bridges.

In fact, results showed that most people thought he was the founder of Walt Disney World.

Bolide Communications teamed up with Philadelphia’s top mixologists – Christian Gaal and Phoebe Esmon to create 3 signature drinks in honor of Walt Whitman. We enlisted Philadelphia’s hottest burger creator Tommy Up to create a potato theme menu and held a bearded contest at Live Nation’s brand new spectacular concert venue – the Fillmore Philadelphia.

We measured everyone’s beards and donated a dollar for every inch of facial hair to the Testicular Cancer Fund – raising over $3,000 for charity.


In addition to the attendance and money raised, coverage was received by Channel 6 Action News, Philadelphia Weekly and many more media outlets helping to make the event a success and drive awareness in the market for Luksusowa Vodka.
