Creating a New Brand, Logo & Website for a Taproom & Entertainment Complex
Wallenpaupack Brewing Company approached Bolide Communications with a new idea for its second taproom location, a few miles down the road.
In addition to a state of the art taproom, 6 simulator bays for indoor golf, games and sports were being constructed.
Client challenged us to come up with its own brand identity including a name and logo.
DEVELOPING A NAME AND CREATING A BRAND
We previously established the brewery makes beers inspired by the lake (Brewed with Lake Affection) so we wanted to stay within that theme.
A “No Wake Zone” is defined by slow boating so as not to cause waves. We waned the exact opposite – thinking that a “Wake Zone” is filled with excitement, fun and creating waves – exactly what we’re promising at the new venue.
The “O” took on a double meaning – both as a target for golf simulators, as a location icon putting the brand on the map.
BUILDING THE WEBSITE
We knew the website had to scream excitement and fun, and be highly visual. But most of all, we wanted to show how the taproom and the beer fits into the experience.
Fortunately, the brewery has an excellent photographer who (continues to) supply us with stunning images. We then put together a website that showcased the best of what The Wake Zone offers.
