Schöfferhofer Grapefruit beer is a 50/50 combination of authentic German hefeweizen combined with grapefruit juice and has become synonymous with summer and pool parties. Despite its growing popularity, the prior PR agency had only received limited media coverage, so the brand turned to Bolide Communications to turn up the noise.
Leveraging our media contacts among beer and lifestyle media, we set out by sending the beer to numerous influencers on the premise that tasting is believing. We generated early buzz by getting bloggers on board and numerous other lifestyle media quickly joined. We then set our sights on television coverage to showcase the beer and created a series of beer cocktails to showcase the beer’s versatility.
We also struck in-kind deals with numerous events so that the beer could be featured and showcased to key Instagram influencers at summer parties. Finally, we extended summer beyond Labor Day by partnering with bloggers to showcase the beer’s versatility at Halloween and Super Bowl parties.
